Odyssey supports tāngata whai ora – people seeking wellness – and their whānau to live the lives they want, free from drug, alcohol, and other addiction challenges.

Services to support adults range from residential, community, prison and drug court supports. Services to support rangatahi range from residential, school, community and employment-based support. 

Northland Regional Tūturu Lead, Corey Tau

Corey Tau is the Regional Lead for Tūturu and a Registered Addictions Practitioner with extensive experience across both the education and health sectors. With a professional background as a Head of Counselling within schools and as an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician in youth health services, Corey brings a unique cross-sector perspective to youth wellbeing, prevention, and engagement.

Corey is passionate about partnering with schools to strengthen student wellbeing through collaborative and culturally responsive approaches. He has proven experience in developing educational pedagogy, co-designing policies and procedures, and leading student-led activation initiatives that create meaningful and sustainable systems change. His work is grounded in relationship-building, practical innovation, and empowering young people and school communities to thrive.

Auckland Tūturu Lead, Chas Ngaha

Chas has more than seven years of experience in the education and community space. For two years, he worked in South Auckland at Southern Cross High School as a Student Mentor and has also worked for the New Zealand Police as a community and youth officer.

A lot of the mahi Chas has been involved in relates to wellbeing and helping his wider community and using his platforms within the Police and school spaces to inspire change and see the bigger picture.

Outside of mahi, Chas loves to spend time with his wife and kids, participate in extra-curricular activities involving his faith, and go to the gym.
